The Freedom Brand Butcher Knife is an excellent skinning and meat processing knife for larger animals. In the fur shed it is great for doing heavier jobs like joints and skinning close to bone so you don't quickly dull the blade of your regular skinning knife. It is also excellent as a fleshing tool, particularly on otter tails.
This high-quality knife features a 6 1/2" trailing point blade and has a finger groove handle that provides a comfortable grip and prevents slipping.
The Freedom Brand Butcher Knife is made from 8Cr13MoV stainless steel, and is HRC58 to HRC60 in hardness. This steel has good edge retention and is easy to sharpen.
