With the Topo U.S. 2008 DVD and your Mac or PC, you can download topographic detail to your Garmin Astro GPS handheld. You'll see terrain contour, elevation information with elevation shading. It will also show you USGS trail names, National, rural roads, city neighborhood roads, searchable data base of cities, geographic names, summits, lakes, parks and more. You can also use MapSource to create routes and waypoints on your PC and transfer them to your Astro.
